Dame Kelly Holmes Legacy Trust
GE have partnered with the Dame Kelly Holmes Legacy Trust to deliver 12 Aspiring Minds student support programmes across the UK partnering GE sites with a local school. The programme focuses on the attitudes and skills required for personal success in the modern world.
Using a trained group of Olympic and world class athletes, GE volunteers and a skilled team of trained communicators, the programme delivers a range of tried and tested activities and interventions which help young people of all abilities to raise their aspirations and motivation.
The one day programme consists of a range of interactive and engaging sessions delivered to the participating school, covering a number of topics including:
- Attitudes and skills for success
- Teamwork and communication
- Personal target setting and goals
- Problem solving and overcoming barriers
- Risk taking and learning from mistakes
- Creative thinking
Workshops are currently all booked and will be held in partnership with our GE businesses in Aberdeen, Amersham, Cardiff, Glasgow, Groby, Hamble, London (Olympic Boroughs), London (West), Nailsea, Newcastle, Rugby and Watford.
